Designed without compromise, it combines ultra-precise conversion, exceptional timing accuracy, and an advanced fully balanced analogue stage to reveal music with extraordinary clarity, detail, and naturalness.

More than a DAC, the FLS22 is a true high-end digital hub, engineered for listeners who demand uncompromising performance from every digital source.

Every element of the FLS22 has been designed around a simple goal: preserve the integrity of the original recording.

Its highly optimized architecture employs ultra-short signal paths and a sophisticated circuit design, refined through extensive technical development and critical listening. The result is exceptionally precise conversion and a clean, transparent signal that allows the character of the music to take center stage.

At the heart of the conversion section are two ESS Sabre ES9038PRO 32-bit DACs, operated in mono configuration, with one DAC dedicated to each channel. A precision Crystek CCHD-950 ultra-low-noise clock provides outstanding timing accuracy, while ten dedicated ultra-low-noise power supplies ensure stable and exceptionally clean power throughout the digital circuitry.

The FLS22 features a fully balanced, discrete Class A current-feedback output stage, designed to deliver exceptional linearity, transparency, and musical refinement. Four discrete low-noise voltage regulators provide dedicated power to the output circuitry.

Both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs are provided, with selectable fixed or variable output levels. This allows the FLS22 to operate as a conventional source component within a complete hi-fi system or to connect directly to a power amplifier, functioning as a high-end digital preamplifier.

Clean power is fundamental to high-resolution digital audio. The FLS22 therefore employs three separate toroidal transformers, each dedicated to a specific function.

An 80 VA transformer supplies the analogue section, an 85 VA transformer powers the digital circuitry, while a dedicated 15 VA transformer serves the logic and control circuits. All transformers are enclosed within a metal shield to help maintain isolation and minimize unwanted interference.

The design is further supported by distributed, multi-stage low-impedance capacitors and ultra-low-noise regulation, creating a stable and exceptionally quiet foundation for the entire circuit.

The FLS22 is engineered to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of high-end digital systems. Its extensive connectivity includes eight digital inputs, supporting I²S (audio HDMI), USB, AES/EBU, S/PDIF, Toslink. An optional streamer board further expands its capabilities, transforming the FLS22 into a comprehensive digital source and high-end streaming hub. A digital output is also provided for additional system flexibility.

Every digital input can be individually configured, allowing unused connections to be deactivated and each input to be renamed for convenient system integration. Users can also select the preferred digital filtering characteristics for each input.

To further protect the purity of the audio signal, all digital inputs are galvanically isolated, helping prevent unwanted noise from connected digital sources from entering the audio circuitry.

The FLS22’s engineering excellence is matched by its physical construction. Its substantial brushed-aluminum chassis reflects the same attention to detail found inside. An engraved Audia Flight logo adorns the top panel, while the crisp blue OLED display provides clear information at a glance. The matching anodized-aluminum remote control completes a design that combines functionality, durability, and understated Italian elegance.

The FLS22 brings together precision conversion, ultra-low-noise clocking, sophisticated power-supply architecture, galvanically isolated digital inputs, and a fully balanced Class A analogue output stage in one uncompromising design.

It is not simply a D/A converter. It is the digital heart of a high-end audio system, created to let every recording sound with greater clarity, precision, and authenticity.
